CONGRATULTIONS!!!!!!!!!

Although, it has been on my mom's blog since Friday - I was told I had to wait for today!!

The church news information is FINALLY released! YEAH....although not yet in the church news, you can now know what you are looking for.

My parents have been called to serve as Mission Presidents. WOW - Where too? How about Russia, Vladivostok! Yeah, no worries, I hadn't heard of it either! If you look on a map, they are right near the border of China and North Korea - that's a safe place, right?!?! haha

Anyways, currently the call is for 2 years, because it is so....I don't know....out there - but if they love it, they might be able to extend for 3 years. Knowing my dad, we'll see ya in 3 years!!

We are very excited for them and know they will be great!!! I can't help but think of my mission president and absolutely LOVE them - so it is exciting that my mom and dad will have the same opportunity to teach and help so many missionaries.

So, if you speak Russian, stop by the house and quiz them!! See how they are doing! haha! This also means that I will be seeing you all in a few months - we hope to come and wish them off! So, we need to plan friend dates as well!

Thanks for playing my little game - Congratulations President and Sister Pratt - you will do GREAT!!!!

I had been checking the Church News every week. How exciting for them! What an adventure! Your Dad was such a great Stake President! I also had to call him regarding a school issue at the beginning of this school year. I could not believe how quickly and efficiently he took care of it! I was so impressed. Congrats to both of them!

Congrats to them!!! That's so awesome. They will do such a good job.

Kenny's brother, Jared served in Russia about 10 years ago. He used his skills during the Olympics driving people around.

How amazing! Your parents will do an outstanding job. I think we should plan a big girls get together when you come up. We could try and round up as many of the aspen 11th gals that we can and go to dinner somewhere!

That's awesome. I have a friend who served in that mission. I heard some pretty interesting stories. I'm sure they'll love it.

how exciting!! I can't wait to serve a mission with Brandon someday....but being a mission president couple...WOW...that's got to be the most rewarding work! Look forward to hearing about their experiences. You are always welcome to visit us in Texas if you're ever passing through. :)

Wowie Zowie! What about Finland?! Russia?! Really?! Crazy. How's their Russian coming along?! I hope you really can make time to get together while you are here!!! I know it can be super busy with all your family. But I'd love to coordinate something with anyone/everyone you may want. Let me know. Tell your parents congrats and good luck! I can't wait to tell my mom.

Wow...Russia!!! They are going to be amazing! The only thing that could make this better was if you were annoucing that you and Sean were coming back to live in their house! I am so happy for them. And I agree with Andrea we need to get together when you're here:)

They were listed in Church News today for the New and Returning Mission Presidents for 2009. Their pic hasn't been put in as of yet. I look almost every week-since I only get the Deseret News on weekends. ;)

They were listed today March 14, 2009. For those interested. I checked first thing today when I got the paper. ;)
