GA Aquarium Slideshow

Here are all the fun fish we saw. Enjoy!

GA Aquarium

The girls and I took a field trip one day out the the GA Aquarium. We had a lot of fun. Yes - I got many comments such as your "brave" to take all three girls, on my own, into Atlanta for the day. However, I just keep telling myself this, "We can't wait around until Shawn is available, it will never happen - and it's an adventure - so why not?"
Right as we got in, "Deepo" was there to take a picture with. Andie and Ali each gave him a hug - it was cute.
We went to the stingray pool first. It was a "touch and feel" pool, which was pretty cool - they had quiet a few of those, I was surprised. Ali was all about the touch, Andie, just the looking.
Looking at fish
Andie and the "tiger" fish (maybe it was lion fish....I don't remember)
Andie loved playing "match" with the kiosk. She would pick a fish and then find it in the tank. It was fun.
Eating goldfish will looking at fish. They thought that was so silly. Guess I should have brought a different snack.

All in all, we had a great time. We did have a "few" of these episodes, where Ali was done walking. She would sit and pout on the floor. So, I carried her for a little bit....that is always fun - 40 lbs. in one arm while trying to steer the stroller. :)
Cool looking Shark. I wish I would have looked at the map. We got to the HUGE tanks on the end of the tour - when the girls were done with the aquarium and ready to go. I thought it was cool and they would have liked it had we gone there first. Oh well.
We had a great time. After the Aquarium, we went to Costco. Ali feel asleep on the way - so Andie, Adalyn and I played for about an hour in the back of the van while sitting in the Costco parking lot. She woke up and was a happy girl.

We had a fun adventure - who says you can't do exciting things with three kids? I love my girls!!
PS - we really did wish Shawn could go with us - it would be have been great. However, we understand his need to focus in school. We did miss him that day!

Hair Cut

Today, Ali got her hair cut...
...by her friend, who is three. If you look closely, you can see about a three inch top layer.

Obviously, it didn't seem to bother Ali. Here she is, at the ward activity enjoying some chocolate frosting. Her hair looks great in pigtails.

After her bath tonight - I decided to fix it. I had called my friend Lillie who cuts hair, but canceled because I was going to just put it in pony tails and let it grow out a bit. Then I decided to just cut it myself. Sorry Lillie. We'll see how it looks in the morning. Andie was jealous she didn't get a hair cut tonight - so she asked for one at her next bath. We'll see what happens. :)

Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day! Shawn's best friend, Blake, and his wife Saleela came to Atlanta for the weekend on a visit from D.C. I have heard all about Blake, and Saleela has been a friend since I married Shawn - but until this day, I had never met them!! I can tell you this - THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!! Friends for life and I can't wait to get together with them again. We had such a great time. Here are some pictures to go along with our day.

We happen to park right across from each other in the parking garage....made it easy to meet up!!
We met at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's. It was so pretty and the weather was gorgeous - it was just a fun, relaxing day! That fountain is blown glass - it was so cool looking!
Family picture minus Adalyn....I needed to get her out of the stroller, but I never did.
These lily pads were so cool!

The botanical gardens had just started a chocolate exhibit - which is always fun to get free chocolate!
The girls got to decorate their own chocolate cupcake and finger paint with chocolate syrup.  We also did a chocolate egg walk.  They had fun!
Another family picture without Adalyn....she was asleep in the stroller
I did like the picture of Shawn and I - I thought it turned out well.
Cool chocolate sculptures
These were blown glass pumpkins, fruit, vegetables and water lilies. They were so cool!!
For our AZ family - this is some type of cactus - that sprouts like once a century - and we just happened to see it. (YES - I realize that I should apologize to Shawn, Blake & Saleela, because I don't remember the name of the cactus.)

The girls playing in the water - yet again. They had a lot of fun!

Thanks Blake and Saleela for coming to town and letting us hang out with you on Labor Day - we had a blast!!  It was so fun to watch Shawn and Blake!  It had been 8 years since they had seen each other, but it was like yesterday!!  It was GREAT!
