We had a WONDERFUL Christmas and would like to thank all of our grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for helping us do so! We truly were spoiled! We're so grateful for our family, for our knowledge of the Savior and His birth and for this special time of year to show kindness and gratitude to all those around us.
Christmas Outfits. Thanks Grandma T for the cute new dresses for the girls and for Caleb's outfit! This is the best we could do for a quick family picture!
I was in Primary on Sunday and they acted out the Nativity for sharing time. Very cute! Ali is a sheep and Andie is the star.
Christmas Eve....make sure to leave Santa some milk and cookies (or other holiday treats if your mom hasn't baked!)
I wrote the letter, but the girls dictated!
Ali, discovering what's in her "stocking"
Adalyn and her magic wand
After playing Bingo at her birthday party, Andie was very excited to get Bingo from Grandma Nicholls. Thanks grandma!
Cute, cute Broderick Children! I love them all so much!
Caleb and his Bulldog book. Thought we should have at least one thing representing UGA before we move.
The girls wanted a picture of Caleb opening his present.
Cinderella....dress-up, slippers and DVD.
Tired baby! Thanks for the new cozy blanket cousin James (and Aunt Liz).
Andie sitting by her stash...and trust me, if anyone walks near it, beware! "Why does everyone always want what I have?" Age 6 has been a little bit rough. Suddenly she doesn't like sandwiches any more or nothing for lunch "Why do I always have to eat healthy? All I want is treats, treats, treats!" If she has an idea and one of the other girls wants to do the same thing or eat the same thing, it breaks into tears, "Why do my sisters always copy me?" She had another breakdown the other day, because she saw the weather and they said it was going to snow. When Shawn said that was for other people and not us, she lost it. "Why can't we live in a house where it snows. We never get snow." Needless to say, we still love her - but boy oh boy - watch out hormones. I can't even begin to imagine the teenage years on this one!
Ali discovered ON Christmas day that she has a lose tooth. She is more than excited. "I'm going to pull it out so I can get MONEY!" Ali has been very sweet during the Christmas break, sharing, giving, helping. We're so very happy to have at least one child in a good mood most of the time.
Caleb and his new play mat! Thanks Grandma T! He also got some other toys from his other grandmas! Thank you! He loves laying on this and kicking! He goes crazy - it's so fun to watch him.
Adalyn also enjoys Caleb's play mat. She also enjoys everything that she got - and everything her sisters got. This little girls is sneaky and knows exactly what she's doing. If you ask her to not touch something, then she will find a way and snicker while as does it. She has been quiet entertaining as of late. She walks around with her hands hanging in front of her (like a gorilla) and says, "Look at me, look at me" and giggles the whole time doing it. She thinks she is so funny. We constantly hear, "Adalyn, stop following me!" After multiple attempts from the sisters, Shawn and I will finally step in and say, "Adalyn, leave your sisters alone." She smiles completely guilty! She loves to harass Ali and is good at it. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but she definitely knows how to get a rise out of everyone. She suddenly has no more need for sleep and wakes up during the middle of the night and refuses to go back to bed. Oh Adalyn....we love you!
One of the other gifts the girls got was a Disney, Just Dance Wii game from their Grandma and Grandpa Broderick! Thanks! We played it for the first time yesterday and had so much fun! After "dancing" to a few songs, Andie said, "Wow - this is so much exercise!" It's great.
Thank you again to everyone for a wonderful Christmas! We love and miss you all!

Twins?
Are we sure these two cute girls aren't twins?
Andie AND Ali both received the "student of the month" in school last week. We are so proud of them. Andie also received a "certificate of excellence" for outstanding behavior (her teacher never has to tell her to behave!) and the honor roll certificate. She was the only one in her class to get all E's on her report card. (exceeding expectations!)
Way to GO Andie and Ali - we're so proud of you!

Happy Birthday Andie!!
Yeah! Thanks to my friend Beckie! She said to just wait a few days/weeks and I could upload pictures again - and it worked!
So - Happy Birthday to Andie! I can't believe she is 6. Crazy. We had a fun day and I think she felt very special!
I saw on pinterest to wrap their lunch up! She LOVED it. She came home and said, "Mom - why did you wrap my lunch like presents? I was so surprised. Even my spoon said, 'STOP GROWING' but I'm not!" I'm glad she liked it.
She made BINGO cards to play at her birthday party. I usually don't do parties, but the girls were invited to one a few weeks ago and so Andie asked for one. We had a good time. She came up with this Bingo card and idea all by herself. I love it! Sorry, the picture won't rotate.
I also decided to change the decorations on the tree to make a BIRTHDAY TREE! I had a lot of fun doing it, and again - it was totally worth it - to see her excitement!
It was pajama day at her school for "Polar Express Day!" So, we took donuts to her class and pulled Ali out of class to join us. (Ali's pajama day was the next day).
Adalyn was sitting by Ruthie, our neighbor, who is also in Andie's class.
"Mom, I want a rainbow cake with a Christmas Tree." She was referring to the same kind of rainbow cake that Ali had on her third birthday, but I came up with this instead and she loved it! It was fun!
Her birthday party with friends from church. We made stockings and then laced them up. Then we played bingo and they got prizes for their stockings. It was simple and fun!
Happy Birthday Andie! We love you so much! Here are a few of her favorite things!
Color: Pink
Food: Cheese
ok - I asked her what her favorite movie was, favorite thing to do at school, favorite game and favorite book and all the answers were "I don't know!" that pretty much sums up Andie! :)

Broderick Family Christmas Letter 2012
(Sing to the tune of “Jingle Bells”)
Dashing through the
year,
It’s brought us lots
of cheer,
We had a baby boy,
He brings us so
much joy!
They think it’s
really cool,
They go all day
to work and play,
And follow all
the rules!
Oh…Adalyn, Adalyn,
what will we do with you,
You laugh and play,
Take things away,
It’s like living in
a zoo.
Oh…Adalyn,
Adalyn, what will we do with you,
You drive us nuts,
We love you so
much,
We know you’re
only two!
Shawn is working
really hard
To finish up this
year,
He’s come so very
far,
And ready to start
his career
We’re applying for
different jobs,
And hope to
turn some knobs,
We’re through with school; it’s been real fun,
But we are
TOTALLY DONE!
Oh…Boise State,
BYU
We want to work for
you!
Or Colorado, Texas, Indiana
Just to name a few,
Oh…Boise State,
BYU
We want to work
for you,
We’ll be so happy even if we
End up at Mizzou!
What about Molly,
you may ask
She tries to stay
on task
With all that’s
listed above
She has to share a
lot of love
Most days are
usually fine
But when she gets behind
A break she’ll
take, to go and make
Whatever helps
calm her mind!
Oh…friends and family,
we love you
We hope you’re
happy too,
We’re grateful for
each one of you
And can’t wait to
hear what’s new,
Oh…friends and
family, we love you
We hope you
know we do,
We wish you a
Merry Christmas and
A Happy New
Year, too!
